Jean C. Joseph, Ph.D., DABCC, MHA is the Laboratory Medical Director in Orange County, CA. She served as Administrative Director of Laboratory Services at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center at the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach Campuses from 2008-2016. Prior to 2008, Dr. Joseph served as Assistant Director of Laboratories at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach until 1997, Chief Operating Officer at Comprehensive Drug Testing in Long Beach from 1998 to 2006, and Laboratory Director at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, CA from 2006-2008.
Dr. Joseph received her Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She received her MHA from Chapman University in Orange, CA and received her JD from Concord Law School in 2011.
In addition to being Board Certified in both Chemistry and Toxicological Chemistry by the American Board of clinical Chemistry (ABCC), Dr. Joseph is licensed as a Laboratory Director by the State of Hawaii, California and Florida.
Dr. Joseph has served as President and Secretary Treasurer of ABCC and as President of the Substance Abuse Program Administrator’s Certification Commission. In addition, she has been a member of the Board of Directors for the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and the National Registry for Clinical Chemists. Dr. Joseph has received AACC’s Award for Outstanding Contributions through Service to the Profession of Clinical Chemistry, an AACC Presidential Citation, and the Herbert O. Carne Service Award from the AACC Souther California Section.
